Types of Floor Mats

Floor mats are a common feature in various buildings, from industrial plants and office buildings to hotels. Although they all simply lie on the floor, they serve different functions. By using the appropriate floor mats, we can, for example, reduce worker fatigue or prevent contaminants from entering the building. The mats discussed in this article are available in our store and are produced by the renowned company COBA, which has been manufacturing floor mats and other safety and ergonomics products for over 30 years.

How do we categorize floor mats?

The best way to categorize floor mats is by the function they serve, essentially the problem they solve. This method ensures a clear division that makes it easier to choose the optimal solution. Besides floor mats, we also offer anti-slip floor tapes.

COBA brand products are created based on long-term and innovative research, providing users with products perfectly suited to their needs. COBA Europe operates according to the highest quality standards and pro-environmental solutions. The company holds ISO9001 and ISO14001 certificates.

Industrial Mats

Industrial mats are designed to enhance safety and comfort in industrial environments, such as production lines, warehouses, and other industrial workplaces. Industrial mats aim to reduce the risk of accidents caused by tripping and slipping, which are common during physical work in a hall.

COBA industrial mats are made from materials resistant to temperatures ranging from -20°C to +130°C, allowing them to be used in virtually any industry. They are resistant to long-term exposure to chemicals and physical damage such as dents or abrasion. Additionally, they have antistatic and electro-insulating properties, protecting against the harmful effects of electrostatic discharge (ESD).

RAMPMAT Workstation Mat

The RAMPMAT industrial mat is one of the most popular products from COBA, suitable for various industrial spaces. It has drainage holes that collect debris and drain spilled liquids. Additionally, the mat insulates from cold floors, has anti-slip properties, and beveled edges that reduce the risk of tripping.

Entrance Mats

Entrance mats are used not only in industrial spaces but also in various public buildings, accommodation facilities, restaurants, and residential buildings. If there is no permanently installed metal doormat in front of the building, the entrance mat is the only alternative solution that ensures reduced contamination inside.

An entrance mat should be aesthetically pleasing because, in addition to the building facade, it is the first thing our potential client or guest sees. Naturally, the higher the standard of the facility, the more attention we should pay to this detail, and conversely, in an industrial area, appearance is not as crucial.

The fiber structure used in COBA entrance mats effectively traps dirt and moisture. The mats are resistant to high temperature fluctuations, moisture, and UV radiation.

RINGMAT Entrance Mat

RINGMAT is an outdoor entrance mat resistant to temperature fluctuations from -20°C to +160°C. It performs well in areas exposed to prolonged frost. The raised surface provides good anti-slip properties and effectively removes dirt and contaminants from footwear. Mats can be connected, allowing coverage of even large areas.

VYNA-PLUSH Entrance Mat

This mat is used on the inside of building entrances and in passageways between rooms. The mat surface is made of polypropylene fibers, making it abrasion-resistant and non-reactive with organic contaminants. The fiber structure effectively removes dirt and moisture from soles, trapping it between the fibers. Beveled edges reduce the risk of tripping and facilitate movement with hotel or cleaning carts.

Decontamination Mats

A decontamination mat aims to trap fine-grained contaminants from footwear, preventing them from entering areas where a high level of cleanliness is required, such as laboratories, hospitals, clean rooms, and dry areas in food processing plants. Decontamination mats also aim to limit the transfer and growth of microorganisms.

FIRST-STEP Decontamination Mat

This hygienic mat consists of 30 numbered layers coated with a substance that inhibits the growth of rust and bacteria. The adhesive surface collects all contaminants from footwear. The layers are easy to peel off, so when one is used up, you simply remove it and immediately have a clean layer ready. The white color makes it easy to assess whether a layer needs to be replaced. The mat has self-adhesive mounting that adheres to most floor surfaces.

Anti-Slip Tapes

Anti-slip tapes aim to eliminate the risk of slipping in critical areas such as stairs, ladders, ramps, slippery floors, or vehicles. They have a wide range of applications in various industrial plants.

GRIPFOOT Anti-Slip Tape

The tape has a grainy surface that reduces the risk of slipping while not hindering movement. The tape is self-adhesive and can be used on various substrates, including metal, ceramic tiles, and concrete. The tape is resistant to temperatures ranging from -10°C to +60°C and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Our range includes beige tape and black and yellow tape, which is highly visible.
