Tork - Half a Century of Innovation in Hygiene and Health, Offering Comprehensive Solutions for Public and Personal Spaces

Tork is a brand of the Swedish group Essity. Essity is an international company involved in personal and public hygiene and health across more than 150 countries. Until 2017, this group was part of SCA, a giant in the Swedish forestry industry, but it was spun off to focus exclusively on products and solutions for health and hygiene.

The history of the Tork brand (in Swedish, "torka" means "to dry, to wipe") dates back to 1968 when the first modern disposable nonwoven wiper was introduced. Five years later, the first dispenser for paper towels conquered the market and has remained the most commonly used dispenser in public spaces for decades. Over time, the brand has expanded to include increasingly innovative products. In 1987, the product range reached 500 items and the first logo, now known worldwide, was designed.
