Dyson digital motor
The Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryer is equipped with a Dyson digital motor. Development took seven years. It is one of the smallest integrated motors in the world with a power of 1600W. The Dyson motor can draw in up to 30 liters of air per second. The motor is highly efficient and durable, generating digital pulses at a frequency of 6000 units per second, allowing it to reach speeds of 88,000 units per minute. Inside the device, there are only three moving parts, which reduces the need for replacing worn components, such as sliding rings or carbon brushes.
Washing and drying hands in one place
Typically, in public restrooms, users must walk to a dryer after washing their hands to dry them. Along the way, water dripping from their hands leaves streaks on the floor and creates a slip hazard. With the Dyson Airblade Tap, both tasks are performed in one place. Hands are washed and dried under the tap.
Fast drying time: 12 seconds
Traditional hand drying methods take longer than using the Dyson Airblade Tap. Hand dryers are rarely located directly next to the sink, so the total drying time can be as long as 43 seconds. This results in leaving the restroom with damp hands, which can transfer up to 1000 times more bacteria than dry hands.
With the Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryer, you leave the sink with clean and dry hands, and the drying itself takes only 12 seconds.
The most hygienic hand dryer
Most hand dryers are not equipped with air purification filters. They dry hands with air taken from the restroom, which contains bacteria and viruses. The Dyson Airblade Tap is equipped with H13 HEPA filters that capture 99.9% of bacteria and viruses. Hands are dried with clean air. Additionally, the dryer’s housing is coated with an antibacterial layer.
Low operating costs
The operating costs of the Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryer are up to 69% lower than those of other dryers and up to 97% lower than those of paper towels. This is because other dryers take longer to dry hands and are equipped with heaters, which leads to higher electricity consumption. Paper towels, on the other hand, need to be constantly replenished and disposed of.

Dyson Airblade Tap dryers have a lower environmental impact in terms of CO2 emissions and ecosystem effects. Compared to other dryers, carbon dioxide emissions are less than 74%, and compared to paper towels, over 70% less.
